Jim Harbaugh’s daughter is not going to allow her father’s name to get slandered during the team’s sign-stealing scandal.

On Friday afternoon, Harbaugh was suspended for the rest of the college football season by the Big Ten despite having no evidence that he knew about a low-level staffer’s sign-stealing scheme.

“We impose this disciplinary action even though the conference has not yet received any information indicating the head football coach Harbaugh was aware of the impermissible nature of the sign-stealing scheme. This is not a sanction of Coach Harbaugh. It is a sanction against the University that, under the extraordinary circumstances presented by this offensive conduct, best fits the violation because: (1) it preseves the ability of the Univesity’s football student-athletes to continue competing and (2) it recognizes that the head coach embodies the University for purposes of its football program.”

Michigan has gone to court to attempt to appeal the Big Ten’s decision by saying that they want due process to play it.

After Harbaugh’s suspension, his daughter took to social media to send a message to people trying to take shots at him during the entire sign-stealing scandal.

“Oftentimes I think we have an idea of who people are, before we even know them or understand thins fully,” she said. “People know my dad to be incredible headstrong, stubborn and unapologetically himself. They’re not wrong.”

“But what people also don’t know is that he refers to his player as his own kids,” she added. “That he loves Michigan football more than anything in this world. And that in my 23 years of life, I’ve not once hear him complain; not when things get hard, not when I know he’s exhausted from pulling 18 hour days. And especially not when due process has failed.”
