The Pat McAfee Show made headlines this week following an appearance by New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In that episode, the passer was heard taking a jab at Jimmy Kimmel.

In those controversial comments, Rodgers insinuated an association between Kimmel and Jeffrey Epstein, saying that the late-night talk show host should be nervous about Epstein’s client list being released.

Many blasted A-Rod for the baseless accusation, which came as a result of Kimmel mocking the quarterback on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Those critics included the comedian himself.

“Dear A–hole,” Kimmel’s response read. “For the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”

Pat McAfee is hoping legal action is avoided, calling the situation an overblown joke.

While McAfee addressed the spat publicly on Wednesday, ESPN has yet to do so, and it doesn’t appear they will.

Though the back and forth has caused negative attention for McAfee, particularly given the fact that Rodgers called out a fellow Disney employee, it didn’t stop the show’s latest guest from stirring the pot.

Watt jokingly brought up the feud in his Wednesday appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.

“My breaking news was actually that I know absolutely nothing about the Epstein list,” Watt said. “I don’t want to get in trouble… I know nothing. I don’t want any fights. I don’t need anybody calling me out. I don’t want any lawsuits. I KNOW NOTHING!”

Followers quickly responded in the comments section. Not everyone believed it was joke-worthy.

“Disgusting.”

“This is cringe.”

“Not really sure this is something to joke about.”

The saga continues, and JJ Watt might’ve said too much without saying anything at all.
