Former 3-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt had himself a big week.
On Monday, he hit his first-ever hole-in-one while playing golf with his parents. Later in the week, JJ Watt went to the Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ concert and he’s now officially all-in on Taylor’s music.
After being left awestruck by Taylor Swift’s 3-hour and 15-minute concert which included 44 songs, JJ Watt woke up and took to Instagram to review his experience.
JJ Watt didn’t hold back with his praise. He said, “you can tell when somebody is at the top of their game” while praising the quality, production, and energy. This was the first stop on Taylor’s new tour and it kicked off in Glendale, Arizona.
JJ Watt has 4.4 million followers on Instagram. The vast majority of them are NFL fans. But the Swifties appear to have found JJ Watt’s praise of Taylor Swift and the comments reflected the praise.
They wrote:
“Legends supporting legends.”
“This is the only tswift concert review I need in my life.”
“Mind she did it in Loubitans which amazingly beautiful shoes but they are so uncomfortable so she’s a legend.”
“From first round pick to Taylor Swift critic. What a retirement JJ.”
“Put this man in the HoF now. Skip the 5 year wait so he can’t be 2nd billing to Tom Brady.”
“JJ Watt being a swiftie was not on my 2023 bingo card.”
At the end of his Taylor Swift concert review, JJ Watt admitted he “did walk out with some merch.” He acknowledged that he’s officially entering his ‘Swifty’ era.
