The Buffalo Bills are still in contention for the #1 seed in the AFC, trailing Kansas City by 1-win while waiting for the league to announce rescheduling plans.

Week 17’s Bills-Bengals matchup was postponed after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after suffering cardiac arrest and had to be revived before he was rushed to the hospital where he has been ‘making progress‘ according to his father.

It remains to be seen what the league will do with rescheduling. The NFL is reportedly considering all sorts of unprecedented rescheduling options.

Speaking with the media on Wednesday, Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow announced the Bengals will follow Buffalo’s lead on whatever they choose to do. Burrow said “I think that would be tough, just scheduling-wise.” He went on to add that “I think whatever Buffalo would want to do, would be what we would want to do as well. We’re behind them 100 percent and support them in whatever they would decide to do going forward.

This was the first time Joe Burrow spoke to the media since Damar Hamlin collapsed. When asked about the experience and emotions over the past several days, Burrow said “A lot of emotions, obviously. Very, very scary,” He went on to add “Not a lot of clarity. A lot of rumors, just a lot of stuff going around. So it was a very emotional 48 hours. Not a lot of words you can say about what happened.

Amongst the options the NFL is considering with regard to rescheduling is having the Bills/Bengals play in Week 19 during the AFC Bye Week. Other options are on the table as well.
