New Image Of Joe Burrow Wearing A Mysterious Glove On His Throwing Hand Is Probably No Big Deal

Joe Burrow Brace Glove

Joe Burrow arrived to Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon ahead of Thursday night’s NFL game between the Ravens and Bengals. He was wearing some kind of glove on his hand, which sparked widespread panic amongst Cincinnati fans and speculation across the league.

It was probably nothing. However, for the team to delete the original post all together does not help to give the impression that everything is fine!

An image showed that Burrow was wearing a small black glove on his right hand as he got off of the team plane. His right hand is his throwing hand. He did not have the same garment on his left hand.

Video captured by WCPO’s Caleb Noe showed that Burrow was wearing the same black piece of fabric on the same hand when he later got off of the team bus. It exposed his thumb and first two fingers. It is not clear from the image or video as to whether the glove covered his ring and pinky fingers.

Joe Burrow is probably fine.

In both instances, while getting off the plane and the bus, Burrow was holding a tablet in his right hand.

Thus, more than likely, the glove was for technological purposes. Similar two-finger gloves are used by graphic designers, artists, and people who want to draw on their tablets without their hand messing up the image by touching the screen.

Burrow might wear the glove so that he can better write on his tablet while studying film or something of that nature. There is a high probability that it is no big deal and nothing more.

With that being said, the Bengals were super sketchy with how they approached the initial post. They quickly pulled the image after people started to comment. The decision to delete the post presumably stemmed with an effort to avoid speculation.

It had the reverse effect. There are more questions because the post was deleted. If it the post stayed live, the team would have been acting like nothing is wrong. By taking it down, it feels like the folks online were not supposed to see the glove.

Either way, iPad glove or injury brace, Joe Burrow will be on the field on Thursday night. Keep an eye on his throwing hand, even though there is no reason for panic — yet.
