  • Joe Burrow is playing in the Super Bowl in just his second year in the league.
  • During his rise to superstardom, Burrow has become known for his confidence.
  • The confidence is being carried into the big game as Burrow already knows what he’ll do if the Bengals win.

After just two seasons in the National Football League — one of which was cut short by a knee injury — Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is already one of the game’s elite signal callers as he has helped guide the famously moribund franchise to the Super Bowl.

Part of what makes Burrow so successful, and therefore so beloved by football fans, is that he has a confidence about him that seems to perfectly toe the line between swagger and arrogance. Despite his unrelenting confidence in himself and his abilities, Burrow never seems to come off as off-puttingly cocky (at least not yet, that is).

Given that unrelenting confidence, it should come as no surprise that the 25-year-old QB is already thinking about what he’ll do if the Bengals defeat the LA Rams on Sunday and win their first Super Bowl title in franchise history: and that’s fire up a stogie.

“Every time I win some kind of title I’m gonna smoke a cigar,” Burrow told ESPN over the weekend. “So, hopefully, I can smoke another one next Sunday.”

Burrow and the fearless Cincinnati Bengals will take on Matthew Stafford and the high-flying Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in California on Sunday, February 13. The NFC Champion Rams are currently favored by four points over the AFC Champion Bengals, who are playing in their first Super Bowl since 1989. The Rams, on the other hand, last played in the big game back in 2019.
