Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana knows that regardless of whoever wins Super Bowl LIV, the Kansas City Chiefs or the San Francisco 49ers, he can’t lose.

Montana, who won four Super Bowls and three Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Awards with San Francisco in the 1980s, also played his final two seasons with the Chiefs, losing to the Buffalo Bills in the 1993 AFC Championship and to the Dolphins in a Wild Card game in 1994.

While his number 16 has been retired by the 49ers, it was the Chiefs that brought Montana out to fire up the fans during the 2019 AFC Championship Game game at Arrowhead Stadium.

Unfortunately for him, and Chiefs fans, the New England Patriots won the game and ended up winning Super Bowl LIII.

However, this year Montana won’t have to worry about backing the losing team, as he astutely pointed out in an A+ tweet on Monday.

“You heard from me first. I GUARANTEE my team will win the SUPER BOWL!!” Montana wrote on Twitter with a photo of the two jerseys he wore in his legendary NFL career.

You know who else won’t have to worry about backing the losing team? Quarterbacks Steve DeBerg, Steve Bono, Elvis Grbac and Alex Smith.

In other words, expect to see Patrick Mahomes wearing the scarlet and gold at some point in his NFL career.

Naturally, this tweet made several 49ers fans salty – probably as salty is Joe was when he lost his starting job to Steve Young after missing most of two seasons with an elbow injury.

So I guess instead of getting the “State Farm Bowl” we’ll be getting the Joe Montana Bowl.
