For years, legendary golfer John Daly spent Masters week posted up in an RV outside of the Hooters restaurant in Augusta selling merchandise and memorabilia.

Daly started the tradition in 1997, and in 2024 he raked in a jaw-dropping $780,000 in 2024 according to ESPN. Sadly, the tradition came to an end when Hooters filed for bankruptcy, and the restaurant was forced to close.

That led to Daly finding a new location in 2026. The two-time major champion opted instead to park up at the Top Dawg Tavern, which is located right across the street from the previous Hooters location.

It looks like that won’t become a tradition, however, as Daly has now agreed to a new long-term contract to set up shop at a yet another new location in the years to come.

John Daly Will Spend Masters Week At Topgolf In Augusta

David Rumsey of Front Office Sports reports that Daly has inked a multi-year contract with Topgolf that will see him operate his merchandise sales from outside their Augusta location.

Additionally, the deal includes a nationwide content and merchandise partnership with the company.

Daly has agreed to set up at the Topgolf location in both 2027 and 2028 for The Masters. And according to Rumsey, “two signature John Daly cocktails will be added to the menu at 55 Topgolf venues around the country … The golfer’s Daly Vibe merch brand will also be sold at some Topgolf venues, too.”

Love him or hate him, there’s arguing that Daly is one of golf’s all-time great characters. And it’s nice to see that a tradition that everyone loves will now continue for the forseeable future.
