Johnny Manziel verbally attacked an Ohio radio show host online.
A viral clip of former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel resurfaced this week on social media. It caught the attention of the fanbase and has since been recirculated.
One Ohio talk radio host took the opportunity to comment on the video on the air. Manziel saw the negative reaction and responded with an online attack.
In the clip, Manziel is heard talking about his time with the organization. He still holds some animosity for how everything went down.
Johnny Manziel clip goes viral, again.
The passer was a first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He failed to live up to the expectation. Manziel spent two seasons with the team, going 2-6 as a starter with as many picks as touchdowns.
He was out of the league by 2016 due to both on and off-field issues. His career ended before it really had a chance to get started.
Manziel has accepted responsibility for his actions. He lives with the consequences daily. He was ultimately the catalyst in his own downward spiral. Still, he does hold the Browns in the highest regard.
He’s admitted to hating the city of Cleveland. He provided his opinion on his former team last August.
Manziel appeared on the Nightcap podcast with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson last year. He said the following:
“I go back and forth. Am I going to let Cleveland off the hook and let it go, or am I going to sit here with hate and animosity in my heart for the rest of my life?
“I finally sit here today, and I’m like, f– it. I’m going hate them forever. No love for the Browns. I’m rooting for 0-16 every season.”
For whatever reason, the 10-month-old clip resurfaced this week. ESPN Cleveland ran with the clip in a recent radio show. Tony Rizzo does not understand the hostility.
“What did anyone do to you, except root for you to win,” – Rizz responds to Johnny Manziel. https://t.co/TL36HPdon9 pic.twitter.com/zHlruuQ9KO

The QB responded with a profane social media attack.
I’ll paraphrase that explicit response, which you can still find on Johnny Manziel’s X account.
Rizz… These comments were made last year but of course you… in the Cleveland media have nothing to speak about because your quarterback stopped (explicit) massage therapists and you can only speak about losing so much to all of the people that listen to this trash show.
My tenure in Cleveland was doomed by a lot more people than just (me). I’ve taken plenty of responsibility for my failures in that building and in that city. By the way, have you spoken to or about or 6th pick in the draft that year Justin Gilbert lately? Or what about our all-world coach that was hired Mike Pettine? Tom Brady couldn’t have won with our roster from 2015. Just move on… and leave me out of this BS.

There’s a lot to breakdown. Clearly, his feelings towards the city and organization have not changed. If anything, this interaction suggests they’ve gotten worse.
Manziel torched the franchise for its inability to win, evaluate talent, or hire competent coaches. He also took direct aim at the team’s current signal caller.
Manziel referenced Deshaun Watson’s legal troubles in his scathing review of the Browns. The $230 million passer has yet to complete a full season in Cleveland. Some of that is a result of injury. Some is due to suspension.
Watson’s compiled an overall record of 9-10 across three years. He’s failed to match production seen while with the Texans.
Manziel had his own set of struggles with the Browns. It didn’t stop him from calling out the issues of another Cleveland quarterback online.
Johnny Football is not fond of his former organization or its supporters. He proved it on Wednesday. Deshaun Watson happened to catch a stray.
