Former UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones may have implicated himself during a tweetstorm on Wednesday morning. Earlier this week, the Albuquerque police department filed charges against Jones after a female passenger claimed he left the car after he fled on foot following a car accident.
Jones’ lawyer immediately denied that woman’s claims.
“I have never heard of such a thing. It is truly unbelievable that the police would waste this amount of resources on such a case. The only thing I can think of is that the police were targeting Jon for improper purposes. We will get to the bottom of it and make sure that this baseless case is dismissed.”
The Albuquerque PD would later release body cam video of Jones allegedly threatening an officer while on the phone after the accident.

Jones appeared to admit that he was the voice threatening the officer in a now-deleted tweet.
Jones continued to bizarrely tweet on social media following the latest allegations by police.
