Back in November 2022, Jalen Kitna, the son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, was kicked off of the Florida Gators football team and school.

The reason being, Jalen was charged with five counts of possessing child pornography.

He was alleged to have “shared images of exposed pre-pubescent females on a popular social media messaging platform,” per TMZ.

Now, TMZ reports that “the felony child pornography charges against Jalen Kitna have been dropped.” Additionally, “the ex-Univ. of Florida quarterback reached a deal with prosecutors on Wednesday.”

TMZ shares more details of what led to the felony chargers being dropped.

“Jalen, the son of ex-NFL star quarterback Jon Kitna, appeared in an Alachua County, Fla. courtroom to enter a guilty plea to two misdemeanor counts of breach of the peace, disorderly conduct … and in exchange, the five felonies he was facing were dismissed.”

The judge in who made the ruling gave Jalen Kitna “six months’ probation for each count but did not levy a fine.”

Throughout the process, Jalen Kitna’s representative claims that Jalen was adamant “he believed the females in the images were of legal age,” via TMZ.

In the end, it appears all sides of the case are happy with the result. Kitna’s attorney mentioned that the plea deal was “a correct and fair result in this case, and the state clearly agrees.”

on top of that, TMZ also claims representative for state attorney’s office is “happy we’ve come to this conclusion based on the law.”

With that said, it’s unclear what the future holds for Jalen Kitna, but it’s not likely we see him on a football field again.
