Jon Rahm Has Reasonable Request For PGA Tour After Being Forced To Pee On A Tree

If you’ve ever had the chance to attend a PGA Tour event in person, you know the organization doesn’t typically spare much expense to ensure spectators and players have an enjoyable and comfortable experience during their time at the tournament.

With that said, there is one particular area where the PGA Tour does seem to be fairly content with cutting corners thanks to the somewhat sporadic location of the toilets available to golfers while they’re walking the course.

Earlier this year, Rickie Fowler strongly implied he may have recorded a bogey on the final hole of a round at the Rocket Mortgage Classic because he was slightly distracted by his body telling him he needed to find a bathroom sooner rather than later.

While he was thankfully able to find a toilet to do his business before it was too late, Jon Rahm didn’t have that luxury after a camera captured him, um, watering the trees while competing at the PGA Championship in 2019.

The PGA Tour obviously has a lot on its plate right now as it continues to move forward after striking a tentative merger with LIV Golf earlier this year, and while Rahm has shared his thoughts on that particular matter, it seems like the Spaniard who currently occupies the third slot in the Official World Golf Rankings is hoping it can take some time to address another somewhat pressing issue.

On Tuesday, Rahm chatted with reporters at TPC Southwind ahead of the FedEx St. Jude Championship and floated a pretty reasonable solution to solve those bathroom woes.

While a member of the media had given him plenty of room to work with by asking a question about how he’d “fix” golf, it seems he’s more concerned with smaller amenities as opposed to the big picture, saying:

“My priorities are a lot lower than what a lot of people think.

If I go by request—I know this is going to sound very stupid—but as simple as having a freaking porta-potty on every hole. I know it sounds crazy, but I can’t choose when I have to go to the bathroom. Right?

I’ve told the Tour this many times. As simple as that. Just simple, little things that are better for the Tour.”

Props to Rahm for fighting the good fight.
