The teenage girl who has been accused on social media of allegedly being involved with the Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey is reportedly not cooperating with the police’s investigation into the situation.

According to a report from TMZ, sources say that neither the girl nor her family are speaking with authorities as they investigate the situation involving Giddey.

Law enforcement sources tell us police would obviously like to speak with the purported female and those close to her to gather more information regarding the social media claims that made rounds over the weekend … but as of right now, no one is talking.

It’s a significant component to the whole situation as a lack of cooperation will make it much more challenging for officials to determine whether any laws were broken.

Last weekend, photos and videos of Giddey with an allegedly underaged girl circled social media, with one of them even being captioned “Just f—-d Josh Giddey.” It is unclear, however, if that caption is authentic.

In addition to authorities, the NBA is also looking into the matter involving Giddy’s alleged relationship. However, given that the 21-year-old Aussie has not been found to have broken any laws (yet), he remains active for the Oklahoma City Thunder, most recently scoring 10 points in 28 minutes of action on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

When asked about the allegations last week, Giddey told reporters:

“I get the question, guys. I completely understand you guys want to know about it, but just for right now, I don’t have anything to say,” Giddey said.

OKC head coach Mark Daigneault’s statement struck a similar tone as he reiterated that Giddey will remain available for selection.

“Available to play. Will play. No change in status from a basketball standpoint. Still, I have no comment on anything else,” Daigneault said.

Giddey was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder out of St. Kevin’s College in Australia as the #6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. So far this season, Giddey is averaging 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
