Joy Taylor Says $5k/Month Allowance From A Man Is Not Enough For Her Because She’s High Maintenance

Former FS1 host Joy Taylor has riled up the Internet with her latest hot take.

On her Two Personal podcast, Taylor was asked whether a $5k/month allowance from a man would be enough for her to live on if he paid all the bills and told her not to work anymore.

Taylor went on to say that a $5k/month allowance wouldn’t work for her because she’s “high maintenance” and spends over $2,500 maintaining her current looks.

“That would not work for me. I have not even done all of the things that I do to preserve this body and this face and this hair. $1,700.”

“Let’s just say me. $2,500 easy is a monthly, like, maintenance thing. Upkeep everything. Upkeep. + Now I want to save money for myself because I’m not working. So I need to put money away every month so that if you decide to wake up and freak the f-ck out and be a different person.”

“The $5,000 is completely doable if you live a certain type of way, if you are a certain type of woman, if you’re very, very, very low maintenance, y’all can do it. You can absolutely do it.”

Taylor faced immediate backlash on social media over her comments.

“This was a sports journalist on a prestigious network,” said one fan.

“How are you “high maintenance” but unemployed?” said another fan.

It is worth noting that Taylor is currently unemployed after losing her job at FS1 last year after being at the center of a messy lawsuit.
