Seattle Seahawks safety Julian Love had two huge interceptions in his team’s 20-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

But before Love ever took the field, he had already expressed his discontent with controversial Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.

Sirianni, 42, is often brash and isn’t afraid of the spotlight.

Prior to the Super Bowl last year against the Kansas City Chiefs, Love went on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” and discussed his displeasure with Sirianni’s antics.

“I don’t like it, I don’t like it at all,” Love said. “I mean, he’s in for a free ride right now. You guys could coach this team in can succeed. I mean, come on.”

Love, who played for the New York Giants at the time, backed up his words in a big way on Monday night.

He intercepted Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts on a deep ball to Quez Watkins mid-way through fourth quarter before making another, game-clinching pick with under 10 seconds to go.

“I just had a good feeling that they were going to go to number 11,” Love said of the final play. “A.J. Brown is a real deal receiver, and I was honestly watching him that entire play. I was in the post, I saw the double move, and I just took off. I saw the ball floating, and I must be living right, because I got my feet in, thankfully.”

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll wasn’t shy on praise for Love afterward.

“Julian Love’s game, tagging onto what he did last week, this week incredible game, incredible plays,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. “The last catch is exquisite on the sidelines. Toes tapping, hanging onto the football, winning the game… That’s four turnovers he’s been involved in in the last two weeks. Holy cow. Holy cow.”

That’s one way to shut up an opposing team’s head coach.
