It’s no secret that the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears are one of professional football’s best rivalries, and on Wednesday, quarterback Justin Fields fanned the flames by making fun of the city of Green Bay prior to their crucial Week 18 matchup on Sunday.

Justin Fields pointed out that, compared to most other NFL cities, there isn’t a lot to do in Green Bay, and maybe that’s why their fans are so loud. Take a look.

I’m not sure if this is something the young quarterback should’ve said, considering the Bears are 0-5 against the Packers since he was drafted in 2021. Currently, Green Bay has won nine straight and thirteen out of fourteen in the rivalry.

While the Bears are going to miss the playoffs despite a good finish to the season, this is a big game for Green Bay. If they win, they will clinch an NFC Wild Card spot after being left for dead multiple times this year.

As for Fields’ point, Green Bay is definitely not Chicago. The population of the Green Bay metropolitan area is around 320,000, while Chicago stands in at around 9.5 million. But, that shouldn’t take away from the incredible passion that Packers fans have. The fan-owned franchise always sells out and the waiting list to get Packers season tickets takes decades to get off.

Now, I’m sure fans will be extra loud on Sunday in the must-win game for the Green Bay Packers, all thanks to Justin Fields.
