This 8K Camera ‘Griddy’ Dance Is The Cleanest Touchdown Celebration You’ve Ever Seen

Justin Jefferson Minnesota Vikings Griddy

NFL on CBS

In 2017, then-LSU Tigers freshman Justin Jefferson saw a dance called “the Griddy” take off across New Orleans high school football. Landry-Walker High school football player Allen Davis had created the dance and it spread like wildfire.

Once Jefferson saw the craze, he was hooked and decided to break it out for his teammates in Baton Rouge. And then he started scoring— a lot.

With every touchdown, Jefferson swung his arms, swiveled his body and tapped his feet. Next thing he knew, he was hitting the Griddy en route to a national championship and Davis’ dance was being performed on the biggest stage in college football.

The next season, after Jefferson was drafted with the No. 22 overall pick in 2020, the Griddy made its NFL debut. He scored seven times in his rookie season.

With each touchdown, out comes the signature celebration dance.

Jefferson found the end zone on a 12-yard throw from Kirk Cousins on Sunday for his third score in three games.

Afterward, CBS cut to Jefferson’s Griddy with the 8k camera that has taken over live sports and it was the cleanest Griddy shot you’ve ever seen.

The 8k camera is beautiful and it has changed the game. We need to get these shots more often, because my goodness, it’s beautiful.
