#NotKate Conspiracy Theory Trends After Alleged Video Of Kate Middleton Emerges

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has been found!

Well, sort of.

Depending on who you ask, Middleton never really went missing. But an alleged video of her with her husband, William, Prince of Wales, emerged via TMZ on Monday and was the first the public had seen of the princess in months.

Middleton was seen “in good spirits” shopping alongside her husband in Windsor on Monday.

But there’s just one problem.

It’s not really Kate!

Okay, well. It’s probably actually Kate. But plenty of people believe it’s a body double. So many, even, that #NotKate began trending on social media.

The new video comes hours as former United States President Barack Obama went on what some were calling a “rescue mission” to try to find the lost Princess (yes, this is all beginning to sound like a Super Mario Bros. game plot).

If it seems weird that people are doubting the authenticity of the video, that’s reasonable. But it doesn’t come without some standing.

After all, the Royal Family recently released pictures of Middleton alongside her family on Mother’s Day. But fans of the royals had reasons to believe those pictures were inauthentic.

What’s really going on? Nobody seems to know.

But a lot of people are asking for some sort of clairifcation that doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon.
