Leonard had been reportedly unhappy with the team for the past year because of how they mishandled his injured quadricep.
ESPN’s Jalen Rose opened eyes recently when he proclaimed on “First Take” that he was hearing San Antonio Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard wants out of the Alamo City, his alleged unhappiness and it revolving around his treatment to fix his injured quadriceps which has forced him to sit out most of the season.

San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard has Los Angeles — preferably the Lakers — at the center of his preferences for a trade destination, league sources tell ESPN.
The Spurs can refuse to trade Leonard but if they do that they will be forced to play him in his final season of his contract and not get anything in return once he leaves after this season. The Spurs are in a tough spot and it’s probably better for them to trade him to the Lakers who have young tradeable assets.
