Projected Top-10 NFL Draft Pick Kayvon Thibodeaux Explains How NY Giants ‘Gave Him Hard Time’

As the NFL Scouting Combine continues in Indianapolis this week, organizations are not only able to evaluate prospects as they go through a variety of position-specific drills, but they can speak with them in private interviews to get a feel for who they are as people. Some teams, like the Philadelphia Eagles, have unique requests for their draft prospects.

Others, like the Giants, have very specific questions during the interview process.

This year, New York is slated to pick fifth overall. The Giants have a lot of needs at a lot of different positions, but are expected to take either a defensive or offensive lineman.

Among the player for whom the organization is interested is former Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux. He spoke with the team this week and says that those who were in the room gave him a “hard time.”

It wasn’t a situation in which New York asked him any strange questions or anything like that. However, with the media market that surrounds the Giants, they wanted to make sure that Thibodeaux is prepared if he does end up in the Big Apple.

While speaking to media on Friday, the former Duck explained how the interview went. He said that the Giants wanted to know if he was ready to step into the New York media circus.
