For as much promise as Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion has shown on the field, the Texas A&M product shows even more potential off it. Despite having a notable stutter, Concepcion actively seeks out speaking to the media.
The Browns rookie receiver spoke this week about the impact of his weekly media sessions and what it means to hear from people who see themselves in him.
Browns rookie KC Concepcion said he feels “amazing” inspiring people worldwide through his media sessions, saying he fights his speech impediment daily
“It feels amazing, honestly. Honestly, just having the speech impediment, fighting that battle daily and then just seeing what I can do with my platform for people who may be going through some of the same things or people who may be going through a different adversity,” Concepcion said.
“Just me seeing those comments and me being able to inspire people all over the world, it just means everything.”

Concepcion has stuttered his entire life and says he was mocked by classmates as a kid.
His bravery at the mic first went viral at the NFL Combine in February when he faced ridicule online after answering reporters’ questions.
He passionately responded on Instagram — “I just wanna say something, if you have a speech impediment, there is nothing wrong with us. I wanna be a role model for those who may be scared to speak” — and has kept up that attitude ever since.
On the field, the 24th overall pick has 30 catches for 315 yards through seven games, leading the Browns in receptions. He had a breakout game on October 25 in a 27-24 win over the Titans, with eight catches for 129 yards, leading first-year head coach Todd Monken to call him “a weapon.”
The Browns are 5-2 and lead the AFC North. They face the Steelers on the road Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
