Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, is once again calling out the NFL. This time, she’s upset about the league’s scheduling and how it has essentially robbed the Los Angeles Rams of a full bye week. And looking at the schedule, she has a pretty legitimate gripe.
The Rams are scheduled to play the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, November 15, then have their bye week before facing the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday, November 25. That gives Los Angeles just 10 days between games, rather than the usual 14 days teams receive when they have a bye week.
Why? Because the NFL scheduled its first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game this season.
Kelly Stafford Wants The NFL To Explain Its Scheduling Decision
On Tuesday, Kelly Stafford took to Instagram to ask the NFL why the Rams are the only team that won’t get a traditional bye week this season.
“@NFL Just curious to hear the thought process behind making the Rams the only team in the NFL without a true bye week,” she wrote.
“Because damn, after 18 years around this league, even I need a week off during the season… and I have never played a single snap.”

She continued, “I’m tired just watching from the stands. Can’t imagine how the guys feel. Anyway, feel free to leave that explanation right here…”
Stafford also added a question box to her Instagram Story asking people to complete the sentence, “We didn’t give the Rams a bye week because…”
In a follow-up video, she pointed out that other teams are getting healthier during their bye weeks.
“Not for the Rams, though, because they didn’t get a bye week,” she said.
Technically, they did. It’s just not nearly as long as everyone else’s. This also isn’t the first time she’s complained about the Rams’ schedule.
Kelly Stafford previously pointed out that Los Angeles also has games in Australia, on Christmas, and seven prime-time appearances this season.
Apparently, the NFL really wants people watching the Rams.
Kelly Stafford Hasn’t Been Shy About Sharing Criticisms
Last week, Kelly Stafford called out the NFL for continuing to use artificial turf, arguing the league should do more to protect players from head injuries. She questioned why a league making billions of dollars couldn’t afford to replace artificial surfaces with natural grass.

Stafford has also made headlines for speaking out about issues unrelated to football, including the controversy surrounding Sydney Sweeney’s sports betting advertisement.
That being said, when it comes to the Rams’ abbreviated bye week, it’s difficult to argue with her math.
