Freakish Kentucky Hoops Commit Squats 415lbs WITH ONE LEG During Very Stupid Workout

Kentucky basketball is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Somto Cyril. The 6-foot-10, 250-pound rim protector is currently committed to the Wildcats as the No. 52-ranked prospect in the recruiting Class of 2024.

That is probably too low. Cyril is an absolute freak.

  • Standing Reach: 9 feet, 2 inches.
  • Wingspan: 7 feet, 7 inches.
  • Hand Length: 10 inches.
  • Hand Width: 10 inches.
  • Standing Vertical: 33 inches.
  • Lane Agility: 12.38 seconds.
  • Reaction Shuttle: 3.08 seconds.

Those numbers might not mean anything to someone who doesn’t understand the minutiae of basketball athleticism. Video might help to put it in perspective.

His play also does the talking. Cyril and is, essentially, just a giant guard.

The future member of Big Blue Nation currently competes with Overtime Elite. It is a show every time he steps on the court.

And when he’s not hammering down on offense, he’s dominating on defense.

Cyril’s play is going to provide a huge boost to Kentucky’s lineup. His athleticism, however, is what really sets him apart. No other incoming freshman is doing what the Nigerian-born menace is doing.

Cyril recently put up 415 pounds on the squat rack. While that may not sound that impressive… he did so with only one leg.

The actual exercise itself is super dangerous and entirely unnecessary. In fact, Cyril should probably refrain from any similar workouts in the future to ensure that he does not tear his ACL or suffer a serious, career-altering injury. It is rather dumb.

With that disclaimer out of the way, to squat 415 on one leg is absolute insane. Especially as a high schooler!

John Calipari has asked Cyril to join the team for the spring semester. He has declined.

Kentucky is in desperate need of a big and Cyril is ready for college basketball. The Wildcats will have to wait!
