Kevin Durant Reveals Why He Responds To His Critics On Social Media

Kevin Durant is the rare superstar that is actively engaged in combating his critics on social media.

Week in and week out you can find KD responding to random social media posts on Instagram.

You can also catch KD sparring with sports hosts like Chris Broussard in public.

During today’s Warriors’ media availability Durant was asked about his social media posting and the superstar forward gave a reasonable answer as to why he takes part in discussions online.

“Because I have social media. I’m a human being with a social media account. I could see if I ventured off into politics or culinary arts or music and gave my input. But I’m sticking to something that I know.”

I’m actually talking about stuff that I know…. I’m qualified to talk about basketball. So when I respond to something, especially if it’s about me personally – of course. If I’m going to tell you you’re wrong about it, yeah, at the moment. When I’m at the training table getting treatment on my calf and I see a tweet that comes back and I disagree… I don’t talk to people because I’m worried about what they’re saying. It’s that I’m interested.”
