Pine-Richland wide receiver Khalil Taylor attends the Ohio State football game against Penn State at Ohio Stadium on Nov. 1, 2025.
Nebraska Cornhuskers commit Khalil Taylor could well see his high school football career come to an early end after an ugly brawl in the final game of his regular season.
Taylor plays for Pennsylvania powerhouse Pine-Richland, which finished off a 9-1 regular season with a 49-21 victory over Plum last Friday.
The win secured the Rams the top seed and bye in the first round of the WPIAL Class 5A playoffs. However, unless they reach the championship game, Taylor’s high school career could be over.
This is very significant. Plum has filed a formal complaint with the WPIAL.
A punch thrown = 2-game suspension.
Plum is out of the post-season, Pine-Richland is on a bye but would have to play the quarter & semi finals without anybody that threw a punch. https://t.co/tHLDeLy3iC

Khalil Taylor Could Be Suspended For Involvement In High School Football Brawl
Toward the end of the game against Plum, the two teams got into a heated physical altercation. The video above appears to show Taylor, No. 0 in white, throwing a punch to the head of a Plum player.
Taylor was not kicked out of the game. But Plum, which missed the postseason altogether, has since filed a formal complaint.
“The Plum Borough School District is fully aware of the unfortunate incidents which occurred during the October 30 football game against Pine-Richland. Our athletic department has filed a formal complaint, including video of the incident, with the WPIAL and is seeking appropriate review and accountability through that process,” a school spokesperson told local news station WTAE 4.
If the complaint is heard, Taylor is likely in significant trouble. A punch thrown carries an automatic two-game suspension, and the video evidence is pretty inarguable.
Taylor is a four-star recruit in the 2027 class and committed to the Huskers over offers from Penn State, Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia, among others. He is expected to enroll early in Lincoln and may be able to get a head start on packing if the Rams don’t reach the district championship game without him.
