Kirby Smart is still trying to make an argument for Georgia to make the college football playoffs.

On Saturday afternoon, the #1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season to eighth-ranked Alabama in the SEC title game.

While speaking to the media after the game, Smart made the case that Georgia was still a top 4 team and should be in the playoffs. The Georgia head coach made the point that if a member of the college football playoff committee left the Bull Dogs out of the top 4, they’re not in “the right profession.”

“Bill Hancock said It’s not the most deserving, he said, simply, ‘It’s the best four teams,'” he told reporters. “So you’re gonna tell me somebody sitting in that committee room and doesn’t think that this Georgia team is one of the four best teams, I don’t know if they’re in the right profession.”

Ruthless college football fans roasted Smart on social media for pleading with the college football committee to include Georgia after their loss.
