Kirk Herbstreit finally confirmed a piece of EA Sports’ College Football 25 news that everyone already knew: he will be one of the voices in the game.

Herbstreit announced the news on his social media channels, Instagram and X, telling his followers “I’m so excited to FINALLY announce that I’m part of @EASPORTSCollege. I’m proud to be a partner and one of the voices of the game once again – my 14th year in that role.

Along with Kirk Herbstreit, we know Chris Fowler, David Pollack, Kevin Connors, and Jesse Palmer will be announcers in the game. It’s a murderer’s row of talent for the return of EA Sports’ College Football 25. But Herbstreit is still facing the wrath of FSU fans who won’t forget how he campaigned for Alabama over undefeated ACC Champ FSU to make the playoffs, and how he did it before Jordan Travis was even injured.

So upon announcing the news he’d be in the game, FSU fans were quick to start chirping:

Sadly? Why’s that sad? As an FSU alum myself, I can happily get by without hearing Herbstreit speak about the Seminoles ever again. That said, you won’t find me chirping him on Twitter/X like some…

Only time will tell:

Others chimed in with jokes like “Good thing that there is a mute option” and “Ah that extra Authenticity of when you team goes undefeated Kirk can explain why you didn’t make it in the playoff.. EA has thought of everything..”

EA Sports’ long-awaited College Football 25 is set to be released on July 12th according to unconfirmed reports. The first teaser trailer looks incredible:

As for FSU fans and Kirk Herbstreit, Herby has been ready to wash his hands of the whole situation for a while, and that was long before he was accused to tampering with Dylan Raiola’s flip from Georgia to Nebraska.

Herbstreit knows FSU fans won’t forget. He will also be in the booth for FSU’s season opener next season in Dublin, Ireland when the Seminoles face Georgia tech overseas. Kirk has a LONG time to plan any written remarks or quips directed at his critics from Tallahassee and he hasn’t been shy about addressing those fans in recent months either.

In other College Football 25 news, all 134 schools featured in the game have just been revealed.
