Kirk Herbstreit Skewers Titans’ Lineman Taylor Lewan After His Bonehead Late-Game Penalty–Calls Him An ‘Absolute Fraud’

Former Michigan First Team All-American and first round pick Taylor Lewan made a mindless play at the end of the Titans/Raiders game as his Titans were marching down the feed.

With his Titans down 17-10 with just a minute to go in the fourth quarter, Marcus Mariota completed a pass to Tajae Sharpe down the middle to bring the Titans to the Raiders’ 3-yard line. As the play was winding down, Lewan recklessly launched himself into the pile head-first, committing a personal a bringing the ball back 15. The yardage proved too much to make up as the Titans would fall to the Raiders at home, 17-10, falling to 1-2.

If you missed it:

After the game, ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit and Ohio State alum decided to hop on Twitter and rub Taylor’s nose in it.

I don’t know if as an OSU guy, Kirk enjoys seeing Michigan players fail, or Lewan banged his wife but I think Kirk should stop throwing stones and put down the bottle.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
