Lane Kiffin’s son, Knox, was seen taking a jab at Ole Miss rival Mississippi State this weekend following the commitment of four-star passer Michael Van Buren.

The 14-year-old commented on Van Buren’s announcement post, trolling the future Bulldog on Instagram.

Van Buren made his decision on Sunday. Previously committed to Oregon, the quarterback re-opened his recruitment in the first week of December.

It didn’t take long for him to key in on the Bulldogs. Less than a week after that decommitment, he made his pledge to Mississippi State.

With Van Buren in the bag, the Bulldogs’ recruiting class moved up to 36th in the nation.

The news is certainly worth celebrating as he gives the program a foundation to build around in the offense, but not everyone agreed it was the right call.

Lane Kiffin’s son responded to that commitment post, taking a swipe at Ole Miss’s instate rival.

“No WRs to throw to,” the youngster said in the comments section, noting a mass exodus in Starkville. The team is in the midst of a coaching change, seeing Zach Arnett fired less than one year into the job.

Mississippi State currently has 11 players in the transfer portal, including three wide receivers. This coming after losing playmaker Rara Thomas to SEC rival Georgia last offseason.

Lane Kiffin has never been one to bite his tongue, and it looks like that’s been passed down to his son, too!

Knox has been active on the recruiting scene this year, making trips out to USC and Oregon. He even landed a spot at the Manning Academy, and he didn’t hold off on the trash talk there, either!

Mississippi State got a major win with its latest commitment. Now, maybe they can quiet Kiffin by adding a few more pass catchers to surround Van Buren.

This rivalry never takes a day off, even with football season coming to an end!
