The life of a professional athlete is as demanding as any profession on planet earth and nobody knows that better than San Francisco 49ers stars George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk. When life is all gas, no brakes during the regular season these two Midwesterners have to find interesting ways to recharge their batteries away from the field and they recently spoke about that with BroBible.
Specifically, we talked about how they are using Meta’s Threads to indulge their interests. Meta is in the process of rolling out a new feature which allows users to create a ‘collection of profiles’ where other users can bulk follow accounts related to their personal interests. In the case of Kyle Juszczyk, his primary interests on Threads are gardening and cooking. Yes, you read that right. The 6’2″, 235lb Harvard grad from Ohio uses social media to keep up with the latest and greatest in the world of gardening. Kyle’s Threads profile has a link to the collection of profiles he follows/recommends as the best in Cooking/Gardening.
As for George Kittle, he uses Threads to keep up with the latest news from the Marvel/DC and comic books world. We did a quick Q&A about his favorite MCU moments, what he’s most excited for in the superhero world right now, and how he keeps up with the latest news. Kittle’s ‘collection of profiles’ for people looking to keep up with the latest Marvel/DC news can be found on his Threads profile here.
Q&A With 49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk About Gardening, Cooking, And Which Accounts To Follow On Threads

BroBible: “When did you get into gardening? Was it something that dates back to childhood or did you come to it after college?”
Kyle Juszczyk: “I’ve always been interested in cooking and eating healthy. I used to help my mom in the garden growing up. It wasn’t until I started playing professional football that I really began to really pay close attention to the food I was using to fuel my body. Once I started learning more about the foods we buy in grocery stores, how processed things can be, and how many vitamins and minerals are lost from store bought foods I realized it was way easier and cleaner to start growing what I needed at home.”
BroBible: “If you’re having guests over, what’s a 3-course meal you’d prepare that would blow their minds?”
Kyle Juszczyk: “I usually like to keep it simple when entertaining and rely pretty heavily on the grill. You can put anything on there really as long as you season it well, grilled veggies, shrimp, steak, that’s usually my go-to.”
BroBible: “Who is making the best food on social media right now that is flying under the radar?”
Kyle Juszczyk: “@sauceyeatz is one of my favorite follows that comes to mind for new and healthy recipes.”
BroBible: “Who are some guys in the NFL who are lowkey big into cooking that you might not expect?”
Kyle Juszczyk: “There are honestly a lot more than you’d think – I know our team especially does a good job of encouraging proper nutrition in and outside the facility. Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey are some of my favorite people to talk to about what we had for dinner the night prior.”
Q&A With George Kittle On Marvel, Superman, Threads, And More

Meta
BroBible: “What are your top 3 MCU moments to date?”
George Kittle: “When Thor arrives in Wakanda, Tony stark saying “I am iron man”, and Spiderman scene when you have Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield together was fantastic.”
BroBible: “Would you rather have Superman or Spider-Man’s superpowers and why?”
George Kittle: “Wow this is a tough one. I think I’d have to go with Spider Man. He’s one of the characters I’ve always admired growing up mostly because he’s super committed to using his powers to help others and shooting webs out of your hands is pretty cool.”
BroBible: “What was it about comic books that drew you in initially and what has kept you a fan after all these years?”
George Kittle: “I used comics as a kid as a way to learn how to read which has helped me excel in life in so many ways. Now I love it because the characters are fun to watch, the story lines have been great, and there’s still a sense of nostalgia there from when I was growing up.”
BroBible: “On a scale of 1-10, how stoked are you for James Gunn’s new Superman movie?”
George Kittle: “10 for sure – I think David Corenswet will be amazing in that role and it’s the first time Superman is getting his own movie in over a decade, which is pretty cool too. I’ll be excited to see it when it comes out.”
When they’re not suiting up at Levi’s Stadium, you can find George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk on Meta’s Threads at @gkittle and @juicecheck44 where you can also find their newly-created collections of profiles to follow to keep up with their hobbies right alongside them!
