LeBron James Jabs Friend Kevin Love After Vicious Slam Dunk, Says He Hopes He’s Still Invited To His Wedding

The Los Angeles Lakers trying to make one final playoff push as the postseason nears.

LeBron and Co. have won two of their last three games, keeping them in the play-in situation in a competitive Western Conference.

While many have been down on the Lakers this season, last night’s game against the Cavs seemed to be a bit of a release for the struggling dynasty. The team seemed to play loose, having fun in what would be a 131-120 victory over a good Cleveland squad.

LeBron James, in particular, was enjoying the win. He was also enjoying the trip back to Cleveland and a reuniting with his former teammate, Kevin Love.

Unfortunately for Love, he wouldn’t be happy to see his friend for long.

James soared for a vicious slam dunk over the Cleveland big man late in the second quarter. Check out the incredible jam below.

While the massive slam awed viewers, it left one innocent bystander (Love) lying on the floor in dejection.

Love fell on the wrong end of this highlight reel. Once LeBron got going towards the basket, there was no stopping him. Love attempted to draw a charge, but the move certainly did not pay off.

After the jam, the former teammates got into a playful tussle with Love putting James in a headlock.

After the contest, Love jokingly took to social media to voice his beef over the violent dunk.

When the game ended, reporters were eager to talk to LeBron about his huge dunk. James was asked where this dunk ranked on his all-time list.

He responded, “At the very last spot.”

He goes on to say that he didn’t want to embarrass his friend, but once he saw the rim, there was no turning back. James gave a jesting apology. He says he hopes the hard feelings pass and that he’ll still be invited to K-Love’s wedding.

It may take some time for Love to get over this one, but we don’t think James needs to hold his breath for the invitation.
