Lamar Jackson Posts Possible Message About His Future On Social Media, Teammate Cryptically Tweets ‘He’s Back’

The bad news for Baltimore Ravens fans? They were knocked out of the playoffs by the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night. The good news? It would appear as though there’s some movement in the contract negotiations between the team and star quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson, who missed Sunday night’s game against the Bengals due to a PCL injury, took to his Instagram story on Monday to seemingly post about the ongoing contract negotiations. The only problem, however, is that it’s unclear if Jackson’s message is positive or negative.

“When you have something good,” Jackson posted on his Instagram story, “you don’t play with it. You don’t take chances losing it. You don’t neglect it. When you have something good, you pour into it. You appreciate it. Because when you take care of something good, that good thing takes care of you too.” [via ProFootballTalk]

In addition to the cryptic post from Jackson, his teammate Marlon Humphrey — who appeared to defend Jackson on Sunday night by revealing that the QB has been limping around the Ravens facility — also shared a mysterious message on Monday as he simply tweeted “He’s back.”

Thanks to their 24-17 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, Joe Burrow and the defending AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals will head to Buffalo to take on Josh Allen and the Bills in the divisional round this weekend. The Kansas City Chiefs, the #1 seed in the AFC, will host the Jacksonville Jaguars — fresh off of their epic comeback against the Los Angeles Chargers — in the AFC’s other divisional-round matchup.

In the NFC, the #1 seed Philadelphia Eagles will take on Daniel Jones and the New York Giants, while the San Francisco 49ers will face off against the winner of Monday night’s game between the Tampa Bay Bucs and Dallas Cowboys.
