US soccer legend Landon Donovan is catching heat this week for his coverage of the Euro 2024 on FOX. The footballer turned broadcaster’s hairline has been the topic of most discussion.

Many are begging him to “let it go,” after seeing his unsightly mop on the airwaves. Unfortunately, it’s not a first for the former MLS star!

Back in 2022, Donovan caught some flak during his coverage of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

In that instance, he was rocking more of a George Costanza look – seeing the hairline recede further and further up his forehead while trying to hang onto those last few strands up top.

Fast forward to 2024, and things appear to have only gotten worse.

Viewers immediately reacted on social media.

Did Landon Donovan literally run out of the barber halfway through a haircut because he was late for work?”

At this point Landon Donovan should just go bald and let his beard grow.”

The soccer star joins fellow FOX employee Greg Olsen as commentators to be chastised for their haircuts during live performances.

At least in Olsen’s case, he’s widely considered the best in his field. Unfortunately, the same isn’t being said for LD.

Landon Donovan has landed criticism for his less-than-energetic play-by-play at Euro ’24, with some begging for a switch in the booth.

It’s been a tough few days for the man who still owns the MLS record for assists. Hopefully, it turns around as the event continues.
