The college football season is right around the corner and teams across the nation are preparing for what should be a fun year of football.

As usual, many believe the University of Alabama will be at the top of the country throughout most of the season, as Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide are nearly unbeatable.

However, reporter Paul Finebaum recently shared a wild take claiming Saban’s legacy is on the line if Alabama doesn’t make a playoff run this year.

After getting called out by many, it appears Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin had something to say about Finebaum’s take about Nick Saban.

According to Chris McCulley, Kiffin sarcastically thanked Paul Finebaum for motivating Saban this offseason. The Rebels’ head coach clearly isn’t pleased that Nick Saban has new motivation for his team to perform well. As if he even needs it.

Here’s what Lane Kiffin had to say about Paul Finebaum’s comments on the Alabama head coach.

Kiffin makes a good point. There’s really no reason to talk down on Alabama or Saban. I mean, it’s one of, if not, the best college football program in the nation. It’s been that way for literal years.

Everyone in the SEC knows it. Lane Kiffin certainly knows it, which is why had comments about Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

Additionally, it’s kind of hilarious to listen to the Ole Miss coach be annoyed by Finebaum’s take. If anything, he’s keeping it real because deep down, he knows Alabama is not a school to mess with in the college football world.

With that said, we should see the Crimson Tide in the playoff race throughout the season, as they’ll be one of the favorites to make the postseason.
