Presley Kiffin, the youngest daughter of Lane Kiffin, is following in her father’s footsteps. Kind of.

The 17-year-old junior committed to play Division I volleyball on Friday afternoon.

If you grow up playing volleyball in Southern California, USC or UCLA are typically the dream schools. Presley is living her dream and will play for the Trojans!

She also continues a long line of athletes in her family.

Lane Kiffin played quarterback at Fresno State before trading in his cleats for a clipboard. His father, Monte, won two national championships as a tackle at Nebraska before creating the Tampa 2 defense. Layla Reaves, the matriarch, is the daughter of All-American Florida quarterback John Reaves.

Although football is in her veins, Presley had to pivot for obvious reasons.

The 5-foot-11 outside hitter plays for Mater Dei during the high school season and competes for Mizuno Long Beach during the club calendar. In volleyball, the latter is often more important.

Presley hit .254 with 137 kills on a 38.6 kill percentage in 55 sets played for the Monarchs last season. She is a nightmare for oppos and middles can rarely get to the pin before the ball is down!

As a result of her strong play, Presley Kiffin is committed to play D1.

Not only is this an incredible moment for the middle Kiffin child, it is a pretty full-circle moment for the family. Lane played a huge role in USC football’s dominance in the early 2000s as a recruiter, passing game coordinator, and offensive coordinator. He later returned to the program as the head coach in 2010 and did a great job keeping a sinking ship afloat amid sanctions— despite what Pat Haden and the boosters behind-the-scenes might have thought.

But that’s beside the point. Presley is making a triumphant return to USC!

There is still a full year before Lane’s youngest daughter will enroll at the university. She will have another season to keep perfecting her craft before joining one of the most dominant programs in college volleyball!
