Lane Kiffin’s son, Knox, is still a few years away from making a decision on where to play college football. That isn’t stopping him from putting the world on notice!

With the Class of 2024 set to sign their National Letters of Intent during Early Signing Period next month, Kiffin is turning focus toward his own home for the future. Knox, a Class of 2028 recruit, visited his dad’s former program over the weekend.

Lane Kiffin, who is wrapping his fourth season as head coach at Ole Miss, really burst onto the scene as the offensive coordinator in South Central during USC’s dominant run in the early 2000s. He later returned to the Trojans as the head coach in 2010 and kept the program afloat amid a bowl ban… while on probation. People forget that he won 10 games in 2011!

Now, a decade after he was famously fired on the tarmac (in large part because of Paul Finebaum), his son is trying on the cardinal and gold to see how it fits.

While pretty much everything is set to change over the next five years, Knox Kiffin has his sights set on four* SEC programs and two Pac-12 schools. USC, Florida, Georgia, Texas (*which will join the SEC next year), Oregon and Ole Miss have the upper hand for the son of the most polarizing head coach in college football.

Knox was also in Eugene earlier this month!

The list, of course, includes one notable omission. Lane often praises Nick Saban and Alabama, and the two coaches and their families have a close relationship from their time working together.

But the Crimson Tide did not crack Knox’s top-five. Perhaps it is because Saban will not be coaching in Tuscaloosa by the time he gets to campus?

Either way, the 5-foot-9 quarterback is going to be in high demand. Obviously, his name is one thing.

While Knox will have plenty of opportunities as the son of Lane, he is also putting in the work. The top signal-caller in the Class of 2028 can really spin it.

There is no telling where Knox will end up in five years. It is way too early to even speculate.

Regardless, for him to be on campus at USC is an extremely full-circle moment for the family!
