Lavar Ball Gave Unsolicited Advice To Bronny James About His Future

Lavar Ball

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Lavar Ball, and I don’t think anyone is complaining about that. The dad of NBA stars LaMelo Ball and Lonzo Ball has made news over the past decade for his nonsensical and outrageous statements about himself and his kids.

Lavar Ball, who founded Big Baller Brand, once said he could beat Michael Jordan one-on-one, has been known for some of the most ridiculous quotes you’ve ever heard. Here are some of his best, courtesy of Bleacher Report.

“We not even caring about Nike and Adidas and Under Armour. We not even competing with them, because we’re better than them, we’re a step above them. We’re what you call a premium activewear.”

“Lonzo Ball is gonna take the Lakers to the playoffs his first year.”

“To me, Zo is the best player in the world. … I don’t know if he can beat [LeBron James and Russell Westbrook] one-on-one, but I know he can beat them five-on-five.”

So, we should take anything Lavar Ball says with less than a grain of salt. But, he felt the need to speak out on Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, future.

Bronny is one of the top players in the 2023 class, but is still undecided. Lavar thinks he has the right idea of what decision he should make.

Here are more details, courtesy of Complex.

Ball tells Sporting News Australia that LeBron’s oldest son would draw large crowds consisting of intrigued individuals and doubters alike.

“People wanna see, he gonna fill the gym up,” Ball said, as transcribed by Clutch Points. “Two things gonna happen. When you’re young, and you like that, and your dad is where he’s at…lot of people going to come to the gym and say, ‘He ain’t like that for real.’ The other half is going to want to support him. So the gym is going to fill up.”

Good idea, Lavar Ball. Bronny should definitely give up his massive NIL earnings potential and cost himself millions.
