LaVar Ball Says Dark-Skinned Players Go Harder To The Basket Than Light-Skinned Players

If you expected LaVar Ball to back down from his comments about white players for being too slow you were wrong.

Just yesterday the father of UCLA standout and future first round pick Lonzo Ball got himself into some hot water when he said the reason UCLA lost in the NCAA tournament was because the “three white guys” on the team slowed them down.

“Realistically you can’t win no championship with three white guys because the foot speed is too slow,” LaVar Ball said. “I told Lonzo – ‘One of these games you might need to go for 30 or 40 points.’ It turned out the that was the one game. Then once they get to the Elite 8, they’re right there.”

Today. LaVar went on LA radio to double down on his comments about “white guys” not winning championships and even want on to explain how light-skinned players were softer than their light-skinned counterparts.

LaVar Ball: Light-skinned dude you going in kinda soft, You’re not going in as hard to the basket and as rugged as someone who comes from the street.

Radio Host: What about Steph Curry and Klay Thompson?

LaVar Ball LeBron James goes harder than them. Who’s darker?
