On Wednesday night, the Lakers won in dramatic fashion. LeBron James tipped in a missed floater from Luka Doncic to beat the Pacers at the buzzer, 120-119. It was a big win for the Lakers, as they’ve been struggling a bit as of late.

But, on Thursday night, the Purple and Gold gave one away. Two crucial mistakes by LeBron James, coupled with miraculous shooting by the Bulls led to a Lakers loss in one of the zaniest finishes you’ll ever see.

Here’s the finish. Take a look in its entirety. It keeps getting wilder and wilder.

LeBron’s second screw-up is obvious. Turning the ball over there taking it out of bounds when just getting it in bounds probably wins you the game is unforgivable. And, he could’ve ran the baseline to get a better angle. It was a terrible error, for sure.

The first screw-up is more subtle. LeBron leaves Patrick Williams in the corner for no good reason, which leads to the first three-pointer that the Bulls make in the final ten seconds. LeBron is a much better and much smarter defender than that to make that mistake.

Viewers were totally stunned by the ending.

The loss puts the Lakers at 44-29 with 9 games left to play, tied for the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
