You Won’t Believe What LeBron James’ Pending Free Agency Has Oddsmakers Doing Right Now

LeBron James just led his Cleveland Cavaliers to their first ever NBA title in franchise history, which also ended a 52-year championship drought for the city of Cleveland. But people don’t seem to give a shit about letting Clevelanders enjoy it.

After ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith suggested yesterday that he’s heard reports of James, potentially, testing the free agent market and possibly bolting Northeastern Ohio again, oddsmakers are now taking bets on where LBJ may be calling home this time next month.

According to the online gambling site Bovada, here are the top-5 destination odds for LeBron James:

  1. Cleveland Cavs: – 600
  2. Miami Heat: +550
  3. Los Angeles Lakers: +750
  4. Los Angeles Clippers: +1500
  5. New York Knicks: +1500

Of course, all of this is related to the fact that James has sub-tweeted teammates this season and even posted an image on Instagram that had him talking about playing with friends Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and, once again, Dwyane Wade, so it’s not too far out of the realm of possibility of occurring.

Plus, James did deliver on his promise from that famous 2014 “I’m Coming Home” letter by delivering Cleveland their long desired title, so who knows what might happen?

I’m under the belief that James returns and tries defending his championship after an epic Finals display, but I also thought LeBron would never leave the Miami Heat after four-straight Finals’ trips. It could be an interesting offseason for the King.
