Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin caught a couple of strays on social media after his son’s latest recruiting visit. Knox, a 2028 prospect, took a trip to see Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans over the weekend.

After the visit, both Riley and Knox took shots at the Rebel leader online.

The younger Kiffin was recently spotted in Los Angeles where he took some time to work out with the 3D QB SoCal training company. The up-and-coming passer threw a few darts on the practice field as he showed off his arm talent to those in attendance.

With Knox Kiffin being a ways away from his college decision, he’s yet to land a recruiting profile on the major services. That hasn’t stopped him from hitting the training circuit.

That hard work helped him land on a recent 2028 QB watchlist.

At last check, Kiffin noted five programs that stand out in terms of a college playing career. Those include a trio of SEC teams in Ole Miss, Florida, and Georgia, as wells as soon-to-be SEC member Texas and Oregon.

Based on his latest trip to USC, though, the Trojans might pick up some steam.

Pictures of Knox’s visit were posted online after the fact, and he certainly seemed to enjoy his time on campus. So much so, that he took a little dig at his dad when recapping the trip.

“He said you are his new favorite USC coach ever. My own son is trolling me,” Kiffin said.

The quip is an obvious shot at Lane Kiffin, who previously coached at USC before his head coaching career moved on to FAU and now Ole Miss. Knox then retweeted the post with the caption, “Fight on!”

Lincoln Riley then got in on the action by saying, “And he’s my favorite Kiffin ever.”

Shots fired! We’ll see if Knox’s new favorite coach has any pull in his pending college decision or if his father wins out in his recruitment.
