Oklahoma Fans Are Melting Down Again After Lincoln Riley Addressed The Transfer Portal On Colin Cowherd

After securing a commitment from Jaxson Dart and Michael Trigg, Lane Kiffin jokingly declared himself the ‘Transfer Portal King.’ However, a day later, USC landed Caleb Williams and Kiffin relinquished the ‘Transfer Portal King’ title to Lincoln Riley.

And deservedly so. The Trojans cleaned up in the portal after Riley arrived in Los Angeles.

Here is how USC’s transfer portal class breaks down:

  • Romello Height — 4* LB from Auburn
  • Shane Lee — 4* LB from Alabama
  • Brenden Rice — 4* WR from Colorado
  • Earl Barquet — 3* EDGE from TCU
  • Travis Dye — 3* RB from Oregon
  • Tyrone Taleni — 4* DL from Kansas State
  • Terrell Bynum — 3* WR from Washington
  • Bobby Haskins — 3* OT from Virginia
  • Austin Jones — 4* RB from Stanford
  • Mekhi Blackmon — 3* CB from Colorado
  • Caleb Williams — 5* QB from Oklahoma
  • Mario Williams — 4* WR from Oklahoma
  • Latrell McCutchin — 4* CB from Oklahoma

In addition to the transfer portal class, USC flipped a few recruits from Oklahoma. Obviously, Riley used to be the head coach in Norman, so it sparked some controversy about his ability to bring former Sooners players and recruits with him to play for the Trojans.

He joined Colin Cowherd on Tuesday and discussed his transfer portal class. In particular, he was very adamant that he did not take players from Oklahoma, but from the portal.

“We didn’t take players from Oklahoma. We took players from the transfer portal. Those players and their families had to make a decision to stay at that university … or to enter the portal where they could be recruited by anybody …”

And he didn’t stop there.

Naturally, Riley’s comments sent the good folk out in Norman into a frenzy. Here is how they reacted, which is completely normal and totally rational— not.
