Kansas City Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer has a fancy glove worthy of Major League use. But it stood no chance against the line drive hit by Rays’ Kevin Kiermaier last night.
The rocket went into and then through his glove, creating this mesmerizing slow-motion replay.

The good news for Hosmer is that his second baseman, Omar Infante, was right there to pick up the ball and toss it over for an unconventional out.
This has never happened to me in reality, but I’ve used it as an excuse to explain my errors for years.
