For some time now, there has been speculation about what the future might hold for Lionel Messi.
In the past he has been linked to a move to the MLS.
There were reports about an enormous offer to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League.
Maybe he would stay with PSG to try and finally bring home the Champions League trophy that has eluded him since he joined the French club.
Now it appears that we can rule out the possibility of Messi sticking around in Paris.
According to world football insider Fabrizio Romano, Messi’s dad told PSG a month ago that he would be leaving at the end of the season.

Messi’s move to Paris hasn’t achieved the desired results. When he headed to PSG, it was believed that he was the final piece the club needed to finally take home its first Champions League title.
Instead, the team has been eliminated in the Round of 16 in each of his seasons with the club.
This season’s result was particularly disappointing as the club failed to score a goal in either leg against Bayern Munich despite featuring Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe.
When Messi leaves PSG, there appear to be two options that stand out for his potential next move.
It is believed that Messi will either head to Saudi Arabia or return to Barcelona to play for the club where he spent most of his career once again.
Lionel Messi proved during last year’s World Cup that he still has plenty left in the tank and he’ll be expected to be a big difference maker wherever he ends up next.
