Little Leaguer Hurdles Catcher To Score In Spectacular Fashion

I distinctly recall that we had to slide into home plate when a play was being made back in Little League. With all of the emphasis on making sports safer and padding every corner of the world, I’m shocked the move 11-year-old Devin Avedissian pulled off here is legal.

He looked dead to rights after a passed ball bounced directly back to the catcher. But Avedissian decided to go all Deion Sanders and clear the defender with a mighty jump.

The most impressive part about this move is the way he was able touch home plate all in one motion. So many times when a player tries something like this, his momentum carries him past the dish.

Guess that’s the good part about being 11 and not having the leg strength to run fast.
