Chipper Jones was one of the best third basemen to ever play in the Major Leagues. As such, he was paid very handsomely over his 19 year career, earning somewhere in the neighborhood of $168.5 million (the 36th most in MLB history).
Speaking of nice neighborhoods, the career .303 hitter recently moved with his former Playboy model wife Taylor Higgins and their children to a new $3 million, 5,788 square foot log cabin-style home on Lake Blue Ridge in Morganton, Georgia.
Which means they no longer have need for their gigantic 23,000 square foot mega-mansion in Canton, Georgia, located 35 miles north of Atlanta.
It’s not a bad deal either if you are in the market for a home the size of a small town. Chipper is only asking $15 million for it.
It comes with eight bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, sits on 37 wooded acres, and comes with all the amenities.
“The kitchen and closets in the master are epic,” Jones said about the home, reports the Wall Street Journal.
