It’s no secret that the Los Angeles Rams offense has struggled this season. However, the main culprit responsible for the struggles has been a bit difficult to figure out.

The offensive line hasn’t been great. Matt Stafford has struggled. The running game has developed major questions this season.

The Rams just had a bye week to try and fix their issues on offense and it looks like they’ve made a call about fixing one of their issues during their break.

According to a report from Cleveland Browns reporter Brad Stainbrook, the Rams have talked to the Browns about a trade for Kareem Hunt.

This seems a whole lot more realistic than when the Rams were being linked to a trade for Christian McCaffrey. With no 1st round pick next season and limited cap room, it was difficult to see how the Rams could make a deal for McCaffrey work.

They should have no such issues trading for Hunt. Hunt is in the final year of his contract and is currently the backup for the Browns. He only carried a $6.25 million cap hit coming into the season.

The Rams would likely be able to make the contract work and shouldn’t have to give up too much for a 27-year old running back on an expiring contract.

He could be the boost the Rams need in the running game as they currently sport one of the league’s worst rushing attacks.

Despite acting as the backup to Nick Chubb, Hunt has been productive when called upon and averaged 4.9 yards per carry last season, which is a full yard and a half better than the Rams’ current average of 3.4 yards.

Hunt might not be a marquee name these days, but he should be an improvement for the Rams at running back.
