LSU Outfielder Giovanni DiGiacomo’s Glorious Mullet Is Already In Midseason Form

The 2022 college baseball season began on Friday which means that it’s time for fresh cut grass, peanuts, crackerjacks and mullets. There is something about baseball and flow that just makes sense and LSU baseball’s Giovanni DiGiacomo is the perfect example.

DiGiacomo is a redshirt junior outfielder for the Tigers. He stands 6-foot-1, 187 pounds, bats lefty and throws lefty.

The Florida-native was a 29th round pick in the 2018 MLB Draft out of high school but chose to head west to Baton Rouge instead. DiGiacomo quickly became an important part of the lineup and played 53 games as a freshman and led LSU in batting average in 2020.

After suffering a hamstring injury early in the year, the speedy outfielder hit just under .300 in 2021 and was crucial in the NCAA Regional. However, none of that is important when it comes to his legendary status in Louisiana.

Bat and glove aside, DiGiacomo is known for his hair. He rocks an incredible mullet that is all business in the front and a party in the back.

When the 2022 season began on Friday, it was already in midseason form.

The signature look typically includes a mustache.

But this year, the mustache will have to wait.

A perfect mullet is short on the sides and in the front and rages in the back. DiGiacomo’s sides are buzzed to a level 2 or 3 shortness while the flow rocks out from under the back of the hat.

DiGiacomo is an early contender for college baseball hair of the year. Should the mustache return during the season, or perhaps for the postseason, it’s hard to beat his perfectly baseball look.
