Can you feel it? We’re getting oh-so-close to football season kicking off! College football gets things going first in August, and then a few weeks later, dun-dun-dun, its NFL TIME!
HOWEVER… we don’t have to wait until the Chicago Bears take on the Green Bay Packers in the first NFL game of 2019 on September 5th.
That’s because on August 2, 2019 Madden NFL 20 will officially be released on Xbox, PS4, and PC, baby! (Cop it here.)
As such, the folks over at Electronic Arts have just released the first full list of official player ratings for Madden NFL 20 has been released and, ummm, some of them seem like they are a bit off.
First up, the quarterbacks…
1. P. Mahomes: 97
2. T. Brady: 96
3. P. Rivers: 94
4. D. Brees: 92
5. A. Luck: 92
6. R. Wilson: 91
7. A. Rodgers: 90
8. M. Ryan: 89
9. B. Roethlisberger: 85
10. C. Newton: 84
11. J. Goff: 83
12. B. Mayfield: 83
13. D. Watson: 82
14. C. Wentz: 82
15. D. Prescott: 81

Okay, Mahomes, Brady, Rivers, Brees, and Luck at the top… no problem. But, Mitch Trubisky at 75, is just one rating point ahead of Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Joe Flacco, and… Ryan Tannehill? Really? And shouldn’t Deshaun Watson be higher?

Am I crazy or should James Conner and Derrick Henry be rated higher? Conner rushed for 973 yards on 4.5 YPC and caught 55 balls. Henry ran for 1,059 yards at a 4.9 YPC clip and scored 12 touchdowns. And what about Kareem Hunt’s rating? Hmmm…

We already know how Antonio Brown feels about his rating, but is Odell Beckham, Jr. really the fourth best wideout in the NFL? And head of Michael Thomas?
