As they do every year since 2004, the folks over at EA Sports have tried to predict the outcome of the Super Bowl using their popular video game Madden NFL.

Crazy that they even try to do this since conspiracy theorists have already discovered that the final score of Super Bowl LVII has already been leaked, but, hey, why not?

Interestingly, Madden NFL 23 says the Philadelphia Eagles will beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII by a score of 31-17.

During the simulated Super Bowl, Madden NFL 23 predicts a huge game from Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown. He went off in the video game with eight receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Pat Mahomes went 29 of 39 for 249 yards and a touchdown in the losing effort, while Jalen Hurts was named Super Bowl LVII MVP.

On defense, Chris Jones had two sacks and four tackles for the Chiefs, while CJ Gardner-Johnson had five tackles and an interception for the Iggles.

As one might expect, reactions from NFL fans (especially those who root for the Eagles and Chiefs) were mixed on social media.

“Madden just released the script for the Super Bowl!” another fan tweeted.

“They don’t even have Gardner-Johnson in the right jersey. He wears 23 not 38,” several Eagles fans pointed out.

Good question.

Don’t too much fret, Kansas City Chiefs fans.

It’s not like Madden NFL has exactly been tearing it up in the Super Bowl prediction department over the years.

The game is 11-8 in picking the game’s winner straight up, 12-7 against the point spread, and 9-10 against the over/under.

Super Bowl LVII kicks off Sunday, Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m. EST from State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona with Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen in the booth for Fox.
